Chetwyn Rodgers Faith Memorial Church of God in Christ HISTORY

 

 

The Chetwyn Rodgers Faith Memorial Church of God in Christ was founded in 1960, as Faith Church of God in Christ by Dr. Chetwyn J. Rodgers and Dr. Mary A. Rodgers alone with their children. Through the years God began to prosper the church grew and later moved from under the CTA ail to 2448 West Adams. The Lord began to show miracles as saints were healed, raised from the dead. In 1971 the church moved to 4812 West Madison Street in Chicago, which was later changed to Dr. Chetwyn Rodgers Drive as the first street renamed in honor of great humanitarian work in Chicago and around the world of the late Dr. Chetwyn Rodgers.

 

As a church the Chetwyn Rodgers Faith Memorial Church of God in Christ has represented God in Christ as a pillar in the community as it has hosted presidential candidates, senators, alderman and mayors; feed thousands, counseled and trained scores of peoples as the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached.

The Chetwyn Rodgers Faith Memorial Church of God in Christ has helped develop a new $3 million center called the Chetwyn Rodgers Drive Development Center, located 25 North Cicero in Chicago as a haven of hope in the community, training and serving over 60,000 people.

 

Today this church remains faithful to God in the community and touches lives as it stands for holiness 4812 West Dr. Chetwyn Rodgers Drive on Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois 60644.

Theme: “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” ~ St. Mark 11:17 The church represents God as a work of God in earth.
